Liz Associate Professor Sutton

Liz a medical anthropologist who has written on reproductive technologies, advance care planning and has a keen interest in the issue of patient agency of health care. She is currently a managing Director as Salient Consulting and has had executive level experience in one of Australia's largest health care services as the Director, Research. She is also thinking about forging a new career in 'reproductive comedy' where the amazing things that pregnant women are told are dissected using logic, ethics and a bit of common sense. She has performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in a Science Comedy special so this more progressed than you might imagine. Liz has been involved in the development and writing of the successful Monash led Mitochondrial Donation Grant (MRFF funded), and has a number of articles in press and development relating to this, as well as 'truth telling' to women who are pregnant and birthing. She is an adjunct Associate Professor at UniSA.
